For families in and around the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Area
Our School Uniform Bank and Baby Bank aim to support children and families in need, through community recycling and donations.
The School Uniform Bank provides school uniform free of charge to those families most in need in the area, through a system of referrals. Packs provided to children and young people consist of new and pre-loved items. But we also want to provide wider community benefit, by giving families access to good quality pre-loved uniform, that may have otherwise have gone to landfill. So we are developing a system of uniform exchange.
The Baby Bank delivers support to parents and carers of young children in the area who need a little help. This help is primarily in the form of a 'starter pack' for babies, which is presented as a gift from the local community. However, we also provide other items for young children, based on referrals.
We accept referrals via social work, schools, health visitors and other relevant groups and organisations. For more information on referals, please click here.

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant of £5,600 by the Big Lottery's Awards for All scheme. This will make a huge difference to our work, and along with our continual fundraising efforts, secures our vital service for the next year at least.
A huge thank you to the Big Lottery Fund for all of your assistance with the application process - especially Barry!
The funding has been awarded to Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Care. We operate both the Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Baby Bank and Cumbernauld & Kilsyth School Uniform Bank, and this grant covers both projects.

As the clocks turn back, winter will soon be upon us. It's time to start wrapping up warm, and dig out the hats, scarves and gloves. Sadly, there are children in our communities who don't have these items to 'dig out' from the back of the wardrobe and their families cannot afford to buy them now. So, this winter we are once again running our 'WINTER WOOLIES' campaign, with the aim of getting these warm winter essentials to every child who needs them.
